How it works
Make it once, change it each week
-
Make the link
Type the words and the test date. You get a short link and a QR code that stay the same all year.
-
Families open it once
Send it in the class chat or print the letter. Each family opens it and presses “Follow this class list”.
-
Change it each week
On Monday put the new words here. Every child’s game takes them with the next tower, and the test date sets the pace.
What families see
The week’s words, in a game children ask for
The child climbs a turning tower by the sea and walks through the door with the right word. Each word is heard in a natural voice; a familiar word comes back with two look-alike misspellings, so spelling is practised before the test.
- A new word is met at its own door, and every word is met before the test date.
- Parents see each word’s progress in colours and print practice sheets and a home test from the game.
- Progress stays on the family’s device. The class sees only counts: how many children played this week.

Questions teachers ask
Is it free?
Yes. There is nothing to pay, no sign-up for you or for the families, and no advertising in the game.
Do the children need accounts?
No. A family opens the link once and presses “Follow this class list”. Nobody is asked for a name or an e-mail address.
What is stored?
The words, the test date and the class name, so the link can show them, and a scrambled copy of your private key, so only you can change them. For each week, three numbers without names: children who joined, children who played, towers climbed. Nothing about any child.
Can I see who practised?
You see how many children played this week and how many towers they climbed. Not who: the game never sends a name. Each family sees their own child’s progress in the game.
What if I change computers?
Keep your private edit link, in an e-mail to yourself for example. Open it on any computer and you can change the words again. Without it nobody can change them; families keep the last ones.
How long is it kept?
Until you delete it on this page. If nobody changes the words for 400 days, they are deleted with their counts. A family stops following in the game, in the book under For parents.
Only need paper? Free worksheets from your list. More in the privacy policy.
