Word TowerIn short
Word Tower is a word game for children. It has no ads, no tracking and no sign-up. What a family enters and the child's progress stay in the browser on their own device. We do not receive it.
Who we are
Word Tower is made by an independent developer.
What the game keeps, and where
To remember a child's words from one day to the next, the game stores some information in the browser on your device (its local storage and IndexedDB). It is not sent to us.

You can remove it at any time: “Start over” in Settings erases a child's progress, “Remove” deletes a child, and clearing the site's data in your browser deletes everything.
The Chrome extension
The extension is the same game in Chrome's side panel. It keeps the same information as above. It also stores the children's names and progress in Chrome's sync storage, so the game follows your Google account to your other computers. That copy is kept by Google under Google's Privacy Policy, and you control it in your Chrome sync settings. Pictures are never synced; they stay on the device. The extension asks for two permissions only: storage, to keep the progress, and sidePanel, to open in the side panel. It does not read the pages you visit.
What we do not do
- No advertising, and no ad or analytics trackers, in the game or on this site.
- No cookies for tracking.
- No sale or sharing of anyone's information.
- No collection of information from children. The game never asks a child for personal information.
Speech
English words are read aloud by your browser's own speech voices. Some browsers offer voices that run on the browser maker's servers (for example, Chrome's “Google” voices); if one of those is chosen, the English word being spoken is processed by that company. You can pick a voice built into your device in Settings.
This website
The site is served by a hosting provider that, like any web server, processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We do not use this data to identify visitors.
Children
Word Tower is designed for children to use with a parent's or teacher's help. Because we do not collect personal information from children, there is nothing for us to share or sell. If you believe we hold information about your child, write to us and we will delete it.
Parent accounts (not yet available)
We may later offer an optional parent account to sync progress between devices. It is switched off today. Before it is offered, this page will describe exactly what it stores and how to delete it, and a parent will have to agree.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published here with a new date.
