Missions for your child, answers for you
-
Six kinds of mission
Digraph Detectives, Sound Sorting Lab, Meet Magic e, Build the Magic Words, Trigraph Trackers and a Final Sound Quest. A mission appears when your words have something for it.
-
Pictures where we have them
A word gets a grey picture to colour when our library has one. Words without one stay on the page, and a grown-up reads them aloud.
-
A page of answers
One page for the grown-up, printed on its own, lists every answer by sound team. Save either one as a PDF to send it to a teacher or a grandparent.
Questions parents ask
Which sounds do the phonics worksheets practise?
Digraphs (sh, ch, th, ng), the magic e or split digraphs (a_e, e_e, i_e, o_e, u_e) and trigraphs (igh, air, ear, tch). Each word you type is sorted into its sound team by its spelling.
Do the sheets have pictures?
A word gets a picture when our library has one. A word without a picture stays on the page, with a listen cue where the picture would be: a grown-up reads the word aloud.
How do I save the sheets as a PDF to send them?
Press Print, then choose Save as PDF as the printer. There are two buttons, one for your child’s pages and one for the answer page, so each becomes its own file.
Are my words sent anywhere?
No. The sheets are made in your browser and the list is kept on this device only.
For a weekly spelling list instead, use the spelling worksheet generator, or play the words in the game.
